First Cabbage's

I popped onto my allotment yesterday lunch time to water all my brassicas in the greenhouse.

to my surprise two Chinese cabbages have already started to peep through.

My early bagged spuds are growing very well but ill have to earth them up due to expected colder weather coming next week.

ill be potting on some tomatoes and chilies today and also planting my cucumber in the heated propagator.

The cabbage is just peeping through in the top picture in the central section second pot to the right the tiny little dot.

Been a while

Ok its been a while since i posted on here.

i have been incredibly busy but now its new season time and the days are getting longer so ill be getting on the allotment a lot more.

yesterday i built a raised bed for salads which i built from old pallets and an old bed frame.

i lined it with plastic bags to protect it a bit then filled it with last years tomato bags.

next i need to put over it some plastic tubing for the protection.

i also potted on my broadbeans and did a bit of weeding and tidying up.

took some pic's and am impressed that my rhubarb is popping up.

oh and almost forgot i put two bags of early potatoes which are in the greenhouse until last frosts.
