moving house

well i finally got to move nearly all my new plants to the greenhouse from my conservatory.
then i planted out my 6 tomato plants that will give me the large tomato's all summer.
next i planted a hanging basket as well which will be lovely when its established.
And lastly i did a bit of path repair so the old chap on the next plot has a safer time when down there.

Tidy Up Time

Everything is moving faster now including the growth of weeds.
I weeded the remaining beds and then had to weed my onion bed that had gotten full of them in the last couple of weeks.
I planted in the greenhouse some Kale, green-beans, sweet-pea and sweetcorn.
And lastly i made a start on tidying up the bottom end or the allotment clearing up as i went along.
Also i put in the cold frame my broad-beans and marigold flowers.

Weeds Weeds and more Weeds

well i spent the whole morning weeding.
the worst were the blooming dock leaf weed. i had loads and they are a nightmare to fully remove with the way the root goes very very deep.

it was very therapeutic but i had 2 beds at 23' x 5' so a lot of weeds and by the time i had done i had a full wheelbarrow.

so next i have one and a half same size beds to weed and then i have my fruit beds to clear and lastly i need to get my herb bed weeded and planted out.

i was given another water but so that's 6 now i just need to get them all attached to the shed or greenhouse.

lastly i harvested some purple sprouting broccoli which will be lovely with my Sunday meal.

Well i had all the intentions of just weeding today and iv'e ended up doing my paving for a seating and BBQ area, planting my shallots and left over onions and finally my potatoes.
I took Dillon with me today and he was quite good for a young dog.
Next i cleared an area at the end of my plumb and grape vine bed and added some blood fish and bone, then planted my shallots at the front and filled the remainder with the last of my white onions.
Then i weeded my asparagus bed which i had already added well rotted manure too, and in here i planted the remainder of my red onions.
As i was getting through this so quickly i thought id start the paving area between my shed and herb bed.
I managed this quite quickly and they don't rock too much haha.
Then i planted my King Edward spuds as this is supposed to be the time of year to do it.
After a quick watering of the greenhouse seedlings i decided to call it a day.

Eager spuds

Well when i went to the allotment to check for weather damage my first earlies which i have in bags in the greenhouse are deciding to be triffids, they are shooting up so quick i need to virtually go there everyday to cover the growth to protect from frosts.
All my brassicas have now sprouted and my leeks are showing movement.
My transplanted potted plants have taken to the new pots and are doing very well.
And finally by cucumbers have sprouted quickly so i may have to pot them on in a week.
More pic's to follow over the weekend.

Potting on

Potted on all my tomatoes like i said i was and some chilies and ran out of compost.
Ill have to get a bag from the lotty tomorrow.
Also planted some cress for the diet, and some pickling/salad onions.
The other half will be happy to see this lot go to the allotment.
Half is to give to a friend and sell at the flower sale day in may.

more new seedlings

On a quick visit to the allotment yesterday i found more cabbage and even sprout seedlings popping up.
I planted 3 cucumbers but only need 2 so hopefully i get two good ones and i also planted some rhubarb seeds which i haven't managed to grow as yet, these are to increase my small amount of rhubarb plants.
today i am potting on my tomatoes and chili plants.
